Some wrestling fans have heard the name Tomohiro Ishii and many haven’t. Well I was one of them who has never heard of him until I saw him in the New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and that I all changed.

Stone Pittbul

What can I say about the “Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii? Well the guy is a badass wrestler and can take a lot of damage and dish it out at the same time. He is currently signed to the New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and made his debut in 1996. He is also known for his work with Fighting World of Japan Pro Wrestling (Riki Pro) promotion, where he also worked backstage as the chairman. I mean when Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter calls him “probably [one of the] most underrated guys in the business”, I would have to agree. The matches I have seen with him and Shinsuke Nakamura are just instant classics. Hell he’s also took part in the NJPW and Ring of Honor (ROH) co-produced Honor Rising: Japan 2016 event defeating Roderick Strong for the ROH World Television Championship in the main event in February of this year. And then there are other matches he has had with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Katsuyori Shibata who both should be in the WWE but that’s for another blog. The guy has taken on many wrestling superstars and has beaten them. But I’m not sure why in hell the WWE won’t sign him he reminds me of a Kurt Angle or Tazz type of wrestler. I basically think he should be in the company I would love to see him wrestle anyone in the WWE.
